The hunt for back to school bargains is on with early birds worming to get the deep discounts on the needed supplies. If you're wondering when the tax free weekend will be, it is scheduled for Friday August 6th through Sunday August 8th.
During the duty free shopping weekend, the exemption applies to clothing, footwear and school supplies under $100, sports and recreation equipment under $50, computers less than $3500 and computer equipment under $250.
Don't forget about the tax free weekend on Energy Star products which is the first one in November. Energy star washers, freezers, refrigerators, central air conditioners, room air conditions, geothermal heat pumps, ceiling fans, dehumidifiers and programmable thermostats will be tax free.
