Nobody is talking yet about how NCAA the investigations that have been big headlines in major programs throughout the country are going to affect the Heels this year.
Carolina is predicted to be a top 25 team nationally and should have one of if not the strongest defense in the nation, yet when these same sportswriters were asked to predict who would win the two divisions of the conference UNC was picked 4th in their own division, and tied for 5th overall. Well, North Carolina led all Atlantic Coast Conference schools with five players selected to the All-ACC Football team. And they are all on defense.
The players are defensive end Robert Quinn (Ladson, S.C.), defensive tackle Marvin Austin (Washington, D.C.), linebacker Quan Sturdivant (Oakboro, N.C.), cornerback Kendric Burney (Jacksonville, N.C.) and safety Deunta Williams (Jacksonville, N.C.).
